...warning light? I have a 2000 Toyota Avalon and every so often, the airbag warning light starts flashing on the dashboard. The dealer says nothing is wrong with the system but charges me $90.00 each time to reset it. I've tried disconnecting the battery for 5 mins or so but that does not reset the flashing light. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Noone should mess with the air bag system unless they are certified in such repairs. I would advise not driving the car because the air bags can deploy without warning or, God forbid, you have a crash and they do nothing.

disconnecting the battery wont work they have kindove like a overgrown watch battery in them now your gonna have to have a gooood scan tool to reset it but if it keeps comming on then thees a problem with it no doubt ask them what the scan said and hit me back we can probably fix it

sorry to say but you have to have it turned out by a computer. It sounds like the module for the airbag has gotten wet and going bad or the crash sensor in front of the car is loosing connection or ground or there is a bad connection on the airbags themselves. When they hook it up to the scanner it will tell them exactly whee the problem is. Me and the mechanic would be having a conference if u know what i mean. But as long as the light is flashing your air bags wont work.
