What is the life span of the toyota tacoma compared to the nissan Frontier? Anybody have one? What is your thought on comparing these, beside the price?? I want to get one and I want to know if they last even with 100,000 miles on them... THANKS..

Go with Toyota as Nissan for years has been making engines in Mexico.

Either one will get you not 100K, but 300K or 400K with REGULAR maintenance. The Tacoma looks much better in MY opinion.

Toyota is hiding nothing. The sludge problem is caused by people NOT performing REGULAR maintenance and using cheap non-detergent oil. (FACT)

I have a Frontier and I love it. The Tundra is overpriced. The Frontier has a 4 or 6 cyl. option and it drives great with either one. the Nissan is MUCH better looking and it gets great quality ratings just like the Tundra. The post above doesn't know what she's talking about. Both Nissan engines are made in Decherd, Tennessee and they're good for 200K plus..

Toyota's have a serious engine sludge problem they're hiding from consumers. Read it for yourself. http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff41001.htm
