View Full Version : What dose the ECT button in a Toyota Tacoma do? bevaworks 11-05-2007, 07:54 AM The top of the button says normal and the bottom says power. dawnsdad 11-05-2007, 06:12 PM That is the Automatic transmission (Electronically Controlled Type) power button. Normal mode (button out) is for general driving conditions. Power mode (button pushed in) is for powerful acceleration. For ordinary driving, Toyota recommends using the "normal" mode to improve fuel economy. In the "power" mode, the transmission is shifted up and down at a higher vehicle speed than in the "normal" mode and a more powerful acceleration is achieved. To set the "power" mode, push in the driving pattern selector button. The power mode indicator light comes on. dogbreath 11-05-2007, 06:12 PM Electronic Cruise Control? dogbreath 11-05-2007, 06:12 PM Electronic Cruise Control? |
