thanks for the advise, but they wanted $250 at the dealer just to do the diagnostic on the horn - without fixing it. can't afford that.
thanks - i already tried that. i replaced the fuse, but as soon as i did that the horn sounded and then it blew out again. any other ideas??

take your rav 4 to the dealership...fixing a horn should not be that expensive.

If you haven't allready I would check the fuse, if it is blown, then that would cause it to not work, fuse's can be bought at a car parts store, wal-mart, wherever, for just a dollar or two. Your owners manual should tell you where the fuse block is. My guess is under the steering colum mounted to the firewall
