miles?2004 toyota tacoma 2wd? Original owner, I'm pretty gentle with this truck, mostly freeway miles, never pull any weight or load in it, and it seems early to me for brakes to be gone already.I'm asking because approaching end of 36k comp warranty. $45 dollar insp. fee at dealer, have appointment in two days, but if they're gonna claim they need to replace them, and everythings normal (i.e. no warranty coverage), I might as well put that $45 into pads and do it myself, assuming their "inspection" is little more than MAYBE a test drive and pulling the wheel off and looking. Also, maybe my imagination but truck always felt like the front braking was heavier- doing most of the work-if thats possible. Will the dealer inspect the rear brakes also to see if they're working as they should, as a system WITH the front brakes? Hate to replace the fronts if rears are contributing to front 30K weardown. No, I haven't left the e brake on and driven, and I don't live at the top of a mountain, don't think it's brake dust...
