i got $6000 to buy a car, i found several 1999 toyota solaras ranging 90,000 to 100,000 miles, and my borther said he knows some of his friends who sell crown vics, he said i can get like a 2000 and up with good amount of miles on them for $5,000 to $6,000. what do you guys think. my friend said "i wouldnt buy a car with 100,000 miles" that is true, but do crown victorias any good, like do they break alot, are they reliable, one thing that concerns me is the gas milage is about 17mpg on road and 25 or hwy, but i dont drive very far very often, so what do you guys think should i bother calling the guys with toyota solaras, or shuld i just go with the vic?

the solara isn't the best selling Toyota, but its a Camry and is bullet proof. The Crown vic is a decent enough car, its fast and all, but like the other poaster said they are well used. Most police agencies don't dispose of them until they are about used up.
