'04 Toyota RAV 4? I'm overhauling the 4 cyil. engine on my '04 Toyota Rav 4, All I need to know now is how to set up the timing for the camshafts and the counter-rotating balance shaft. Does anyone have a diagram to do this? I've checked with countless dealers but they seem to regard this information as "classified" or something, as they have (politely) refused to share it with me. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Email me at toyodave@yahoo.com and I will send it. I will warn you, however, that even the factory manual is less than precise. The best way to set it up is to buy a new Toyota chain which is marked, as you will see in the document.
